COLUMBIA, S.C. — Poly-America, one of the largest polyethylene film manufacturers in the U.S., is establishing South Carolina operations with Carolina Poly, Inc. in Chester County. The company is investing $100 million in the new facility, creating 300 new jobs in Chester, S.C.

Established in 1976 and headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, Poly-America and its affiliated entities produce several product lines, including trash bags, plastic sheeting, silage bags andshrink film.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sutera USA, LLC, a firm specializing in semi underground waste and recycling collection systems, is establishing operations at 55 Commerce Center in Greenville, S.C. The company is investing $2 million in the facility, creating 20 new jobs in the Upstate.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken the first step towards investing $66.8 million in six new solar energy facilities in Hampton County. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – AS/R Systems Inc., a leading manufacturer of customized and rebuilt carousels for industrial applications, has announced that the company plans to move operations to Ridgeland, South Carolina, where its affiliate, Robertson Partnership, plans to construct a 40,000 square-foot facility at the Cypress Ridge Industrial Park.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Nupi Americas, Inc., a North American subsidiary of Nupi Industrie Italiane, S.p.A., is establishing warehousing and distribution operations in Hampton County. The $4.9 million investment is expected to create 37 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Enstar Group Limited (NASDAQ: ESGR), a company that specializes in the acquisition and management of diversified insurance businesses, through its U.S. subsidiary, has acquired Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Company and renamed it Sussex Insurance Company. Enstar US is investing $500,000 in the Richland County operations, allowing the Sussex business to retain all existing 120 positions, as well as creating more than 60 new jobs over the next nine months.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken first steps toward investing $15.5 million in a solar energy project in Florence County.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken first steps toward investing $10 million in a solar energy project in Darlington County. This investment adds to a $20.4 million investment in Lexington County solar operations, which was announced in August 2015.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Suzhou Glacier Import & Export Co., Ltd., a global textiles manufacturer, is establishing Upstate operations with the creation of Cold Mountain Material Corporation in Greenville County. The company is investing $24 million to open a new manufacturing facility, creating an expected 109 new jobs in Travelers Rest, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 17, 2013 – Molina Healthcare, a managed care service provider with existing operations in 17 states, today hosted the grand opening of its new office facility in Charleston County. The new office at 4105 Faber Place Drive in North Charleston is expected to support 150 jobs in the area.
