COLUMBIA, S.C. – January 31, 2012 – Uniscite Inc., a maker of plastic films, today announced plans to develop its operations in Laurens County. The $70 million investment is expected to generate up to 100 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken first steps toward investing $10 million in a solar energy project in Dillon County.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Advanced Manufacturing & Power Systems, Inc. (AMPS), a firm that specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality generator enclosures, is establishing its first South Carolina operations in Abbeville County. The company is investing $2.3 million in the project, creating 48 new jobs in Abbeville, S.C. over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Silcotech, a global leader in liquid injection molding, has celebrated the grand opening of its York County operations and has also announced an additional $2.5 million investment in the facility.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A&R Bulk-Pak, Inc., a contract packaging company specializing in the packaging and distribution of plastics for overseas export, is establishing operations in Berkeley County. In an effort to better serve its expanding customer base and handle the coming plastics production surge from the Gulf Coast, the 30-year company is investing in the construction of a $7.5 million state-of-the-art packaging and distribution facility, which will create 25 new jobs in Moncks Corner, S.C. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken the first step towards investing $34 million in three new solar energy facilities in Calhoun County.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Poly-America, one of the largest polyethylene film manufacturers in the U.S., is establishing South Carolina operations with Carolina Poly, Inc. in Chester County. The company is investing $100 million in the new facility, creating 300 new jobs in Chester, S.C.

Established in 1976 and headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, Poly-America and its affiliated entities produce several product lines, including trash bags, plastic sheeting, silage bags andshrink film.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sutera USA, LLC, a firm specializing in semi underground waste and recycling collection systems, is establishing operations at 55 Commerce Center in Greenville, S.C. The company is investing $2 million in the facility, creating 20 new jobs in the Upstate.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cypress Creek Renewables, a company that specializes in the ownership and development of long-term solar energy projects, has taken the first step towards investing $66.8 million in six new solar energy facilities in Hampton County. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – AS/R Systems Inc., a leading manufacturer of customized and rebuilt carousels for industrial applications, has announced that the company plans to move operations to Ridgeland, South Carolina, where its affiliate, Robertson Partnership, plans to construct a 40,000 square-foot facility at the Cypress Ridge Industrial Park.
