Nupi Americas, Inc. establishing operations in Lowcountry

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Nupi Americas, Inc., a North American subsidiary of Nupi Industrie Italiane, S.p.A., is establishing warehousing and distribution operations in Hampton County. The $4.9 million investment is expected to create 37 new jobs over the next five years.

Enstar US establishes operations in Richland County

COLUMBIA, S.C.Enstar Group Limited (NASDAQ: ESGR), a company that specializes in the acquisition and management of diversified insurance businesses, through its U.S. subsidiary, has acquired Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Company and renamed it Sussex Insurance Company. Enstar US is investing $500,000 in the Richland County operations, allowing the Sussex business to retain all existing 120 positions, as well as creating more than 60 new jobs over the next nine months.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 17, 2013 – Molina Healthcare, a managed care service provider with existing operations in 17 states, today hosted the grand opening of its new office facility in Charleston County. STARTEK Inc. selects Horry County for customer support center

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 16, 2013 – STARTEK Inc., a global provider of business process outsourcing services, today announced plans to locate a new customer support center in the Myrtle Beach area. The company’s investment of $10 million is expected to create as many as 665 new jobs over a five-year period and result in an annual economic impact exceeding $45 million, according to studies by economists at Coastal Carolina University.
