COLUMBIA, S.C. – Electro-Spec, Inc., a specialty plating manufacturer, is locating new production operations in Lexington County. The new development is projected to bring $3.1 million of capital investment and create 53 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Steel Creek Galvanizing Company LLC, a fabricated steel products galvanizer, is launching a new facility in Cherokee County. The development is projected to bring $14.1 million of new capital investment and lead to the initial creation of 72 jobs.

Located at 576 Tribal Road in Blacksburg, S.C., the company will be constructing a new, 82,000-square-foot building. Designed to protect steel against rust and other corrosion, the hot-dip galvanizing operation will be an environmentally-friendly, zero-emission operation.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Roseburg Forest Products, a privately-owned, integrated forest products company based in the Pacific Northwest, is locating a new engineered wood products plant in Chester County. The development is projected to lead to the creation of more than 145 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Knapheide Truck Equipment Company Charleston Inc., a subsidiary of The Knapheide Manufacturing Company, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Charleston County. The development is projected to bring $1.3 million of investment and create 63 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Pine Gate Renewables, a renewable energy company, is launching a new solar farm in Dillon County under Freedom Solar LLC. The development is projected to bring $7.5 million of new capital investment.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Samsung, one of the world’s leading technology companies, is opening a new home appliance manufacturing facility in Newberry County. The $380 million facility will produce some of Samsung’s most popular, industry-leading appliances and generate more than 950 new jobs over the next three years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sumter Easy Home LLC, a supplier of housewares and other retail goods, is locating their new manufacturing operations in Sumter County. The development is projected to bring $37 million of capital investment and create 88 new jobs.

Sumter Easy Home LLC produces and distributes home organization and housewares to a variety of clients, including Walmart and Lowe’s. Sumter Easy Home will be servicing multiple businesses out of this facility, including the warehousing and shipping of TidyLiving.com orders.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Southern Current, a leading developer in the residential, commercial and utility-scale solar markets, is launching a new solar farm in Hampton County. The company is investing $2.5 million in the project.

Southern Current is an owner and developer of utility-scale solar energy facilities across the southeastern United States. With an in-house team of development professionals, the company manages projects from site selection and origination through construction and operation.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Adger Solar, a clean energy development company, intends to invest $100 million in a new solar project in Aiken County.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – China Hengshi Foundation Company, a fiberglass fabric provider, is locating new operations in Richland County. The company’s new facility is expected to bring $11.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 48 jobs.
