Labon establishing first U.S. facility in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Labon, a leading technical fiber and textile manufacturer, is establishing its first operations in South Carolina. The Orangeburg County project is expected to bring $3.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 23 new jobs.

Established in Shanghai in 2005, Labon specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of technical fibers and textiles for use across a variety of applications, including sealing, friction, hand protection and flame-retardant products.

NARENCO constructing new solar projects in Orangeburg County

Gourmet mushroom producer amFOG Farms LLC locating operations in Jasper County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 11, 2012 – amFOG Farms LLC, a gourmet mushroom producer, today announced plans to relocate its headquarters and construct a state-of-the-art production facility near Hardeeville. The new facility is expected to generate seven new jobs.

Atlantic Beverage Inc. Announces New Facility in Spartanburg County

Carolina Chips, Inc. launching new Orangeburg County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Carolina Chips, Inc., a subsidiary of The Price Companies, Inc., is establishing new operations in Orangeburg County. A leader in wood processing, the company is investing more than $32 million in the facility, creating 15 new jobs. The operation will produce wood chips and processed bark for the KapStone paper mill in North Charleston, S.C.
