Sundaram-Clayton Limited launching first U.S. operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sundaram-Clayton Limited (SCL), a leading Indian manufacturer and supplier of aluminum cast products to global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), today announced that it will be launching its first U.S. manufacturing operations in Dorchester County. By investing $50 million, the company is expecting to create 130 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Alkane Truck Company, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of commercial trucks, is establishing new Lowcountry manufacturing operations in Dorchester County. The new facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs in Summerville, S.C.

Perceptis Inc. Announces New Facility in Greenville County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – January 12, 2010 – The South Carolina Department of Commerce, the Greenville Area Development Corporation and the Upstate Alliance today announced that Perceptis Inc., a leading provider of help desk and customer support services to the higher education market, will open a new facility in Greenville County. Over the next five years, the company expects to invest $1.125 million in the new facility and create 200 new jobs.
