Bridgestone Americas Announces New Facility, Expansion in Aiken County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – September 21, 2011 – During an event today attended by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Bridgestone Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, announced the construction of a new 1.5 million-square-foot off-road radial tire (ORR) manufacturing facility on a greenfield site in Aiken County. Bridgestone Americas also announced an additional 474,000-square-foot expansion of the existing passenger (PSR) and light truck (LTR) tire plant in Aiken County.

Masonite International expanding Bamberg County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. Masonite International, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of decorative interior doors and entry door systems, is expanding its existing Bamberg County operations. This expansion will result in the creation of 50 new jobs over the next year, with additional growth expected in the years to come.

Nason Company expanding Oconee County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. Nason Company, a manufacturer of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components, is expanding its operations in Oconee County. The expansion will result in $2.5 million of new capital investment and the creation of 26 new jobs.

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. expanding operations in York County

COLUMBIA, S.C. Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., one of the largest equipment rental companies in North America, is continuing its commitment to York County and South Carolina by expanding its headquarters. The expansion is projected to bring more than $8 million in capital investment.

Southeast Frozen Foods expanding Calhoun County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. Southeast Frozen Foods, a company which provides retail distribution to grocery stores and cold storage for processors, manufacturers and distributors, is expanding its operations in Calhoun County. This new expansion will result in a capital investment of $6 million and create 30 new jobs. This is Southeast Frozen Foods’ third expansion over the last eight years, representing more than $20 million in cumulative capital investments and more than 100 jobs created.

Husqvarna North America to expand Midlands operations

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Husqvarna Consumer Outdoor Products N.A., Inc., a leader in the manufacturing of outdoor power products, is expanding its existing operations in Orangeburg County. The company is investing more than $29 million in a new Main Distribution Center on its Orangeburg Manufacturing Campus.

Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. expanding operations in Pickens County

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc., one of the world’s largest producers of automatic fire sprinklers, is expanding its existing operations in Pickens County. The new development is expected to bring $23.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 100 jobs. Reliable’s plant will be expanded by 150,000 square feet to bring their total facility space to 452,000 square feet.

RMF adding second facility in Greenville County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Roy Metal Finishing (RMF) is expanding its current operations by building a second facility in Greenville County's Matrix Business and Technology Park. Having added more than 100 jobs since its 2011 expansion, the new $16 million investment is expected to generate at least 40 new jobs over the next two years.
