COLUMBIA, S.C. – August 17, 2011 – Griffin Thermal Products LLC, a maker of thermal transfer products for automotive and industrial sectors, will relocate its existing operations to a significantly larger facility in Piedmont in Greenville County. The multi-million dollar investment is expected to generate at least 50 new jobs, and possibly more, as the new facility becomes fully operational.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – August 16, 2011 – PolyQuest Inc., North America’s largest distributor of virgin and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins, today announced the expansion of its Darlington County recycling and distribution facility. The expansion will involved a total estimated investment of $8 million and create approximately 20 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – August 11, 2011 – Adams Scrap Recycling LLC, a metal recycler and major supplier to OmniSource Southeast, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc., will expand its operations in Greenville County. COLUMBIA, S.C. – June 22, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Futures Group of Spartanburg County today announced that Draexlmaier Automotive of America LLC, an affiliate of the Dräxlmaier Group, will expand its current facility in Spartanburg County. The $22.35 million investment is expected to generate 150 new jobs over the next five years.

Gov. Haley and Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt today toured a Dräxlmaier Group Automotive facility in Germany.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – June 14, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Hampton County and the SouthernCarolina Regional Development Alliance today announced that Elliott Sawmilling Company Inc. will expand its current facility in Hampton County. The $800,000 investment is expected to generate 15 new jobs.“Elliott Sawmilling Company is proud to announce that we will be expanding our operation,” said Nash Elliott, products manager of Elliott Sawmilling Company.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – June 6, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Hampton County and the SouthernCarolina Alliance today announced that Le Creuset, a French cookware manufacturer, will expand its facility in Hampton County. The $3.6 million investment is expected to generate 25 new jobs.“This investment represents our continued commitment to the Lowcountry and South Carolina.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – May 16, 2011 – Adex Machining Technologies, the Greenville Area Development Corporation and the South Carolina Department of Commerce have announced a significant expansion of the company’s operations, including the addition of at least 10 high-salaried jobs, installation of upwards of $1 million in advanced CNC machining equipment, and aggressive growth initiatives to further the organization’s penetration in the aerospace, defense and energy industries.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – May 9, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Lexington County today announced that Michelin will invest another $200 million in its Lexington facility to further expand its tire building capacity. The tire maker has already invested more than $1 billion in the site since it was first established in 1981. This latest project, for which all equipment will be installed by the first half of 2013, will create 270 new jobs, phased in over the next two years. Work will begin immediately.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – April 13, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Sumter County today announced that Apex Tool Group LLC will expand its operations in Sumter County. The company expects to invest nearly $1.4 million and generate 33 new jobs as part of the expansion.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – April 5, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Oconee County today announced that CollinsCraft Corporation, a fiberglass and composites manufacturer, will expand its operations in Oconee County.  Assuming market conditions continue to support growth, this multimillion-dollar investment is expected to generate about 20 new jobs over the next five years.
