COLUMBIA, S.C. – Haemonetics (NYSE: HAE), the global leader in blood management solutions, is expanding its existing operations in Union County. The company is investing nearly $20 million in the expansion, which is expected to create 40 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – AstenJohnson, Inc., a global leader in the production of press fabrics, is expanding its existing Laurens County manufacturing facility, which is located at 400 Asten Road in Clinton, S.C. The company is planning to invest $32 million on new equipment in the next five years, with the largest purchase being a new needle loom in 2016.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc. one of the world’s largest suppliers of polyester film, is expanding its existing operations in Greenville County. The company is investing $100 million in the expansion of its Greer, S.C. facility.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – DC Machine, an industrial design and machining center that manufactures close tolerance components, is expanding its existing Dorchester County operations. The $5.3 million investment is expected to create 17 new jobs in Summerville, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Due to increased demand for returnable packaging solutions, packIQ is expanding its existing operations in Anderson County. The $2.1 million investment is expected to generate 50 new jobs. The expansion will include a complete shipping rack fabrication facility with powder coat paint and polyurea coating systems. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 30, 2013 – Due to increased customer demand, Highland Industries, Inc. announced today the expansion of its industrial and textile facility in Cheraw. The $4.1 million investment is expected to generate 24 new jobs over the next two years. 

Highland Industries, Inc. specializes in a variety of fabric forming and finishing technologies, resulting in a diversified product portfolio serving a global customer base. Customers include world-class companies in the automotive, aerospace and industrial sectors. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 23, 2013 – Quality Model, a plastic injection modeling company based in Ontario, announces the expansion of its facility in Orangeburg County. The $3 million investment is expected to generate 26 new jobs. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 20, 2013 – A U.S.-based, family-run flag manufacturer that has been in operation for more than 100 years is expanding its existing operations in Williamsburg County. Valley Forge Flag Company’s $2.5 million investment is expected to generate 100 new jobs for the area. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 19, 2013 – Advanced Composite Materials, LLC, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of specialty silicon carbide products and related composites, announced today that it will expand operations at its existing facility in Greenville County, investing $3 million and creating between six and 10 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 18, 2013 – Due to increased global demand for southern yellow pine lumber, Canfor Southern Pine is expanding its existing operations in Darlington County. The $8 million investment is expected to generate 50 new jobs through the addition of a second shift at the manufacturing facility.
