COLUMBIA, S.C. — AGY Holding Corp. (AGY), a leading global producer of glass fiber yarns and high-strength glass fiber reinforcement materials, is expanding its existing operations in Aiken County. The planned investment is expected to create as many as 80 new jobs during the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Advanta Industries, Inc. (Advanta), a company that specializes in material handling applications, is expanding its existing Clarendon County facility, which operates as Advanta Southeast, LLC. The company is investing $2.6 million to create 26 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Swiss Krono Group, one of the world’s leading producers of engineered wood products, and its American subsidiary, KronotexUSA Holdings, Inc., today announced the expansion of its existing operations in Barnwell County. The company is investing $230 million to build a high-density fiberboard (HDF) mill and expand its laminate flooring production, creating 105 new jobs over the next few years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Okonite Company, a premier manufacturer of high-quality, insulated electric wire and cable, is expanding its existing operations in Orangeburg County. The company is investing $19.5 million in the project.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Akebono Brake Corporation, a leader in advanced brake and friction material development production, is expanding its existing Lexington County operations. The company is investing more than $40 million in the project, which is expected to create 100 new jobs in West Columbia, S.C. over the next five years.

Kershaw County, SC – INVISTA, one of the world’s largest producers of polymers and fibers, has announced expansion plans at its Kershaw County operation. The company expects to invest $80 million over the next ten years with the installation of nylon polymer and spinning units and other modernization projects. These plans also include the creation of 20 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – SafeRack, LLC, a leader in truck, railcar and industrial safety, is expanding its existing operations in Georgetown County. The company is investing $20 million in the project, which is expected to create 100 new jobs over the next five years. SafeRack is a division of SixAxis LLC, a holding company for 10 brands that encompass the fall protection, loading platform, sales resource planning and marketing industries.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Röchling Automotive USA LLP, a North American subsidiary of Rӧchling Automotive Group, is expanding its operations in Spartanburg County. The company is investing $5.8 million in the facility, which serves as its North American headquarters, creating 25 new jobs in Duncan, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — SAGE Automotive Interiors, a firm that develops and manufactures innovative automotive seating material and headliners, is investing $5 million to expand its existing operations in Greenville County, where it operates both a manufacturing plant and a headquarters facility.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Boise Cascade Company (NYSE: BCC), one of the largest producers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America and a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products, is expanding its existing operations in Chester County. The company is investing $23.5 million in the facility, creating 52 new jobs in Chester, S.C.
