Department of Commerce today announced that Itron, a world-leading technology and services company dedicated to the resourceful use of energy and water, is expanding its operations in Oconee County. The new manufacturing line is projected to bring $8 million of new capital investment and lead to the creation of 100 jobs.
Electrolux expanding its Anderson County operations

Booz Allen Hamilton expanding its Berkeley County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Booz Allen Hamilton, a management consulting and technology firm based in the United States, is expanding its Berkeley County operations with the opening of a new Digital Hub. This latest expansion is projected to bring at least $10 million of new capital investment and lead to the creation of more than 90 new jobs. Booz Allen Hamilton currently employs more than 550 associates in the Greater Charleston area.
Alcami Corporation growing operations in Charleston County

This project is expected to lead to the creation of at least 30 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – BAE Systems, Inc., an international leader in the defense industry, is expanding its existing operations in Aiken County. The company is projected to bring $8.4 million of new investment and create more than 120 jobs.
JSI Store Fixtures Inc. expanding Greenville County presence
COLUMBIA, S.C. – JSI Store Fixtures Inc., a market-leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality merchandising displays for the supermarket industry, is expanding its Greenville County facility. The firm is expected to invest $2.1 million in the expansion of its Greenville operations, creating 97 new jobs.
Albemarle Corporation increasing operations in Orangeburg County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Albemarle Corporation, a producer of specialty chemicals, announced that it will expand its existing operations in Orangeburg County. The $65 million investment is expected to generate 20 new jobs over the next five years.

MSI-Forks Inc. expanding York County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – MSI-Forks Inc., a world leader in fork-arms manufacturing, is expanding its existing operations in York County. The company is investing $3.5 million to construct and relocate to a larger facility and create 33 new jobs over the next five years.
Tognum America Inc. expanding its Research and Development Center in Aiken County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Tognum America Inc., an American subsidiary of Tognum AG and a leader for propulsion and power solutions, today announced plans to expand its Research and Development Center at the MTU Aiken County plant. The $22.5 million investment is expected to generate 10 new jobs, and will double the center’s development capacity with the addition of two new test cells for off-highway diesel engines.
Thomas & Betts Corporation expanding operations in Lancaster County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Thomas & Betts Corporation, a manufacturer of steel power transmission structures for the utility industry, plans to expand its current manufacturing operations in Lancaster County. This expansion is expected to increase the number of employees at the plant by roughly 30 percent in 2013.
