COLUMBIA, S.C. – Prysmian Group, a world leader in the telecom cables and systems industry, today announced a planned expansion of the company’s North American headquarters in Lexington County. Protego expanding operations in Charleston County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Protego, a global manufacturer of tank and flammable vapor processing safety equipment, is expanding its South Carolina presence by establishing a new facility in North Charleston, S.C. The new development is projected to bring $3.7 million of capital investment and lead to the creation of 17 jobs.

Department of Commerce today announced that Itron, a world-leading technology and services company dedicated to the resourceful use of energy and water, is expanding its operations in Oconee County. Google brings additional investment to Berkeley County data center

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor Nikki Haley, state Sen. Paul Campbell, Berkeley County Supervisor Dan Davis, Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce President Elaine Morgan, Google’s Berkeley County Data Center Operations Manager Eric Wages and local business and community leaders participated in a groundbreaking ceremony announcing that Google will expand its operations at the Mt. Holly Commerce Park in Berkeley County. The additional $600 million investment at the data center site brings Google’s total investment to over $1.2 billion.

Siemens Industry Inc. establishing new plant in Greenville County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Siemens Industry Inc., a maker of mechanical and electrical drive equipment, today announced plans to establish a new plant in Greenville County.

According to Doug Keith, president of Siemens Drive Technologies Division, the new South Carolina geared motor facility will place the company and its products manufactured in South Carolina closer to machine builders and manufacturers in the Southeastern United States.

Sensor Electronic Technology Inc. to Expand in Richland County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sensor Electronic Technology Inc., the world’s leading maker of ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs), will expand its operations in Richland County. This phase of the company’s expansion plan, which includes retrofitting its existing facility plus the purchase of a new property, is expected to create more than 150 new jobs with over $20 million in capital investment.
