Perdue Farms invests $25 million in Dillon County expansion

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The S.C. Department of Commerce and Governor Henry McMaster today announced that Perdue Farms has completed a $25 million expansion at its harvest operation in Dillon County, creating 100 additional jobs. The company produces a variety of no-antibiotics-ever chicken products for retail and food service customers.

Charleston Distilling expanding operations in Charleston County

COLUMBIA, S.C. Charleston Distilling, an independent, small-batch producer of handcrafted spirits, today announced a $4.2 million investment in its Charleston County operations. The expansion is projected to create an additional 29 jobs.

Burnt Church Distillery launching Beaufort County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Burnt Church Distillery, a locally-run distillery based out of Bluffton, S.C., is launching new operations in Beaufort County. The company’s $7.7 million investment is projected to create approximately 27 new manufacturing jobs.

Burnt Church Distillery will be a 20,000-square-foot distillery which includes a 7,000-square-foot space for tastings, events, merchandise and displays of historical research. The site will also include a 5,000-square-foot rack house for the storage of aging whiskey barrels.

US-Stevia, LLC locating new operations in Chesterfield County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – US-Stevia, LLC announced today that it is establishing new agribusiness operations in Chesterfield County. The company’s $21 million investment is projected to create 50 new jobs.

US-Stevia and its partners will grow, extract and sell stevia, a natural, no-calorie sweetener solution. The company’s vertically-integrated approach includes a unique, natural extraction and purification process, as well as direct, hands-on involvement in every step of the supply chain, from seed and crop production to the finished product.

Charles Ingram Lumber Co. expanding its operations in Florence County

COLUMBIA S.C. Charles Ingram Lumber Co., a family-owned sawmill located in Effingham, S.C., is expanding its existing operations. With $33 million of capital investment, the company is expected to create 22 new jobs.

Serving the southeastern U.S. since 1931, Charles Ingram Lumber Co. owns timberland where trees are grown for pulpwood and saw timber. The company also operates a lumber mill, which produces approximately 120 million board feet of Southern Yellow pine annually.

Holy City Brewing expanding Charleston County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Holy City Brewing, a craft brewery based out of Charleston, S.C., is expanding its existing operations. The company is expected to create 15 new jobs.

Established in 2011, Holy City Brewing is a craft brewery that creates handcrafted ales and lagers with a 15-barrel (bbl) system. Featuring a full taproom, kitchen and state-of-the-art brewing operation, Holy City has become a staple in the South Carolina craft brewing industry.
