Fitesa Simpsonville to expand facility in Greenville County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – November 7, 2013 – Fitesa Simpsonville, Inc., a global leader and innovator in the design and manufacture of nonwoven fabric solutions for the global hygiene market, will expand its existing facility in Greenville County to significantly increase production capacity for its spunmelt nonwoven hygiene products. The $50 million investment is expected to generate 32 new jobs.
Mergon Corporation expanding operations in Anderson County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – An international plastic blow molding and injection molding company is expanding its existing facility in Anderson County.
Mergon Corporation, which specializes in supplying solutions and products to the automotive, industrial and healthcare markets, today announced that it will invest $4.4 million to expand its existing manufacturing facility in Anderson County, generating 22 new jobs in the area.
Palmetto Synthetics expanding operations in Williamsburg County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 3, 2013 – Palmetto Synthetics, a producer of staple fiber, consisting of polyester, nylon and other specialty polymers, today announced that it will expand its existing operations in Williamsburg County. The $1.1 million investment is expected to generate 20 new jobs.
JN Fibers Inc. locating facility in Chester County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – September 25, 2013 – JN Fibers Inc., a manufacturer of recycled polyester staple fiber products, is establishing a new manufacturing facility in Chester County. The $45 million investment is expected to generate 318 new jobs.
Associated Hardwoods locating new facility in Cherokee County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – September 13, 2013 – Associated Hardwoods, a lumber products company, today announced plans to locate its new facility in Cherokee County. The more than $9.8 million investment is expected to generate 28 new jobs.
Suominen expanding Kershaw County manufacturing operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Suominen, a globally-leading supplier of nonwovens, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Kershaw County. It is the largest single initiative in Suominen’s current growth investment program and is expected to create at least 25 new jobs in Bethune, S.C. over the coming years.
ITECH South expanding operations in Oconee County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – ITECH South, LLC, the Palmetto State operations of Injection Technology Corporation (ITECH), is expanding its existing plant in Oconee County. The $6.03 million investment is expected to create 34 new jobs at the company’s Westminster, S.C. facility over the next five years.
Inbra Indústrias Químicas, Ltda. establishing Orangeburg County manufacturing facility
COLUMBIA, S.C. – A Brazilian company that specializes in the production of plastic and rubber additives is opening a new manufacturing facility in Orangeburg County – its first in the U.S. Inbra Indústrias Químicas, Ltda. is investing $7.7 million to establish a chemical additive production facility in Orangeburg, S.C. It will be Inbra’s first investment outside Brazil, where it operates two facilities in the Southeast of the country. The investment is expected to create 14 new jobs.
Wire Mesh Corporation establishing manufacturing operations in Calhoun County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC), a manufacturer of high-quality welded wire products, is establishing manufacturing operations in Calhoun County. The company will be investing $13.9 million in the facility, creating an expected 50 new jobs in Saint Matthews, S.C. over the next five years.
Specialty Polymers, Inc. expanding Chester County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Specialty Polymers, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of water-based emulsion polymers and adhesives, is expanding its existing Chester County operations. The $5.5 million investment will significantly increase the plant’s capacity and generate five new jobs.
