COLUMBIA, S.C.Giti Tire, the 10th largest tire company in the world, will establish its first North American manufacturing facility in Chester County. The company plans to invest $560 million and create 1,700 new jobs over the next decade in order to meet the growing demand of the North American market.

GE breaks ground on first Power & Water Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Greenville County

Ruiz Foods to locate in Florence County, create more than 500 jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Ruiz Food Products, Inc., a producer of leading frozen Mexican food and snack products, has selected Florence County for its newest manufacturing facility - its first on the East Coast. The $55 million investment is expected to generate more than 500 new jobs over the next several years.

Palmetto Aero to open three facilities in Colleton County

COLUMBIA, S.C.Palmetto Aero, a manufacturer and producer of sheet metal fasteners and airframe components for the aerospace industry, is establishing a corporate presence in Colleton County. The $2.5 million investment is expected to create 44 new jobs.

Progressive Packaging to open distribution center in Hampton County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Progressive Packaging Inc., a full-service packaging solutions company based in Simpsonville, is opening a new distribution center in Hampton County to accommodate its growing consumer base. The $500,000 investment will create five new jobs in the area in the first 12 months of service.

KBRS to locate a new manufacturing facility in Jasper County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – KBRS, Inc., an advanced composites manufacturer of custom shower and tileable components, will open a new manufacturing facility in Jasper County. The $2.6 million investment is expected to create 30 new jobs. 

Build-out of the 60,000 square-foot facility, located at 8406 Speedway Boulevard in Hardeeville, will be completed in the coming months, and KBRS will begin hiring associates in November 2014.  Interested job applicants may contact Leslie Manor at (912) 352-0442 for full details.

E&I Engineering, Ltd. to locate U.S. operations in Anderson County, create 250 jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C. - E&I Engineering, Ltd., a provider of switchgear and power distribution solutions throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, plans to invest $17 million to establish its first U.S. operations in Anderson County. The investment is expected to create 250 jobs over the next five years. 

E&I will acquire the vacant 50,000-square-foot Supreme facility on Harris Bridge Road with plans to expand the complex to 150,000 square feet to accommodate manufacturing of switchgear and busducts.
