COLUMBIA, S.C. – The BID Group of Companies, a British Columbia-based maker of forestry products, today announced that it will establish its new Comact USA manufacturing facility in Dorchester County. The building purchase and capital investments, totaling $3 million, is expected to generate 40 new jobs over the next two years.

“We are thrilled to be expanding into the Southeast U.S.,” said Brian Fehr, CEO of the BID Group. “We are already filling orders now and we are excited to hit the ground running with this expansion.”

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Aqua City Inc., a producer of water filtration products and bottled water, today announced that it plans to establish a new production facility in Marion County. The $1.5 million investment is expected to generate 50 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Alupress AG, an aluminum casting company based in Italy, today announced that it will establish its new production facility in Laurens County. The $19.9 million investment is expected to generate 57 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Weber Automotive, a maker of vehicle components, will establish its new manufacturing operations in Charleston County. The more than $51 million investment is expected to generate 84 new jobs over the next four years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A.L. Solutions Inc., a distributor of filtration products for the automotive aftermarket, will locate its new manufacturing facility, A.L. Industries Inc., in Spartanburg County. The $3.6 million investment is expected to generate 80 new jobs. Both A.L. Solutions and A.L. Industries are part of the A.L. Group, which is headquartered in Israel.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Advanta Southeast, a maker of reusable packaging, will locate its new operating facility in Clarendon County. The $3.5 million investment is expected to generate 30 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – 2AM Group, supplier of logistics, manufacturing and quality services to the automotive, aerospace and marine industries, is establishing its new production facility in Richland County. The $500,000 investment is expected to generate 100 new jobs over the next three years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – WNS (Holdings) Limited (WNS) (NYSE: WNS), a leading provider of global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, today announced plans to establish new operations in Richland County with a delivery center located in Columbia, the company’s first in North America. The new delivery center, with 23,000 square feet of office space located at 1401 Shop Road, plans to start operations in July.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Southern Air Repair Corp., an aviation component repair provider, today announced that it has established its new production facility and headquarters in Greenville County. The $750,000 investment is expected to generate 20 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Softex Paper Inc., a maker of consumer and commercial paper products, today announced that it will locate a new production facility in York County. The $2 million investment is expected to generate 36 new jobs.
