Earlier this year, several members of Team South Carolina collaborated to commission and release an economic impact study regarding the state's growing life sciences industry. Seen as the first step toward developing a strategic plan to advance life sciences across the state, the study provided a glimpse at the true scope of this burgeoning sector in South Carolina.
This week, to continue those efforts, a delegation from the Palmetto State made the more than 4,000-mile trip to Düsseldorf, Germany for MEDICA 2017 -- one of the world's leading medical trade shows. Attracting more than 5,000 exhibitors from approximately 70 countries, the four-day event allowed members of Team South Carolina to build relationships with industry leaders and advance the state's reputation as a location that's 'Just right' for life sciences.
