Although many members of Team South Carolina’s aerospace contingent are more than 4,000 miles away this week participating in the Farnborough International Airshow, S.C. Commerce and its allies have already begun preparing for the industry’s next major event – the 2018 S.C. Aerospace Conference and Expo.
Kicking off the expo, on Tuesday, October 9, is the annual business-to-business supplier matchmaker event. An important opportunity to bring business to in-state companies, the event gives tier two, three and four suppliers from South Carolina the chance to connect, one-on-one, with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and tier one suppliers. Past OEM and tier one participants have included such companies as Boeing, Champion Aerospace, Curtiss-Wright, GKN Aerospace, Lockheed Martin and Wyman Gordon.
The event is open to all South Carolina firms, but each participant must submit an application, which is available online. The deadline to apply is August 24, 2018. For additional information, click here.
