COLUMBIA, S.C. – August 11, 2011 – Adams Scrap Recycling LLC, a metal recycler and major supplier to OmniSource Southeast, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc., will expand its operations in Greenville County. The $3.2 million investment is expected to generate 50 new jobs.“We are truly excited about expanding our recycling operations and offering more services to our customers. The company already has added a portable car logger, an Envirorack to dispose of hazardous fluids in vehicles, and trucks and trailers to increase efficiency. The additional property will also add rail access. Rodney Adams organized Adams Scrap in October 2009 and Kamal Desor became a partner in the business in January 2011. General Manager Rajesh Desor has worked in the industry since his youth. The Desors see their expanded operations as “a way to help Greenville play its part by reducing waste and educating the community on advancing a culture of recycling, while also providing quality jobs to the community,” added Rajesh Desor. “Adams Scrap Recycling is a great example of what entrepreneurship can accomplish in our state, and we celebrate the company’s decision to increase its footprint.
