COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gestamp South Carolina LLC, a producer of automotive components, today announced plans to expand its facility in Union County. The more than $51 million investment is expected to generate at least 100 new jobs.

“Gestamp North America is pleased to expand its South Carolina operation in Union County as our business continues to grow,” said John Craig, president of Gestamp North America. “The officials of Union County and the state Department of Commerce have worked diligently with us to make this project feasible for this location.”

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Futures Group of Spartanburg County today announced that Fehrer Automotive North America LLC will expand its production operations to a site in Spartanburg County. The company expects to make a capital investment exceeding $14 million and to generate 130 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – KION North America, a member of KION Group AG, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial trucks, will be expanding its Dorchester County operations. To accommodate increased customer demand, KION will be investing $5.7 million in its existing operations, creating more than 50 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fukoku America, a manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive products is growing its operations in Laurens County. The expansion is expected to bring $13.9 million in new investment and lead to the creation of 65 jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gestamp, an international manufacturer of metal automotive components, is expanding its existing facility in Union County in an effort to meet increased demand from local automotive original equipment manufacturers. The project is expected to bring $129 million in new capital investment and lead to the creation of 130 jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – November 29, 2012 – Schaeffler Group USA, an automotive and industrial component supplier, today announced that it will expand its existing operations in Chesterfield County. The $40 million investment is expected to generate 190 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 16, 2013 – Chinese textile company Keer Group has selected Lancaster County, S.C. for its first facility outside of China. The company’s $218 million investment is expected to create 501 jobs within five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Alkane Truck Company, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of commercial trucks, is establishing new Lowcountry manufacturing operations in Dorchester County. The new facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs in Summerville, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – March 10, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Greenville Area Development Corporation today announced that Automation Engineering Corporation will expand its existing operations in Greenville County. The $6.1 million investment is expected to generate 78 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – March 2, 2011 – Governor Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Cherokee County today announced that Boysen USA, a maker of exhaust systems, will expand its existing operations in Cherokee County. The $6 million investment is expected to generate 15 new jobs.
