Fehrer Automotive North America LLC Announces Expansion in Spartanburg County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Futures Group of Spartanburg County today announced that Fehrer Automotive North America LLC will expand its production operations to a site in Spartanburg County. The company expects to make a capital investment exceeding $14 million and to generate 130 new jobs over the next five years.

KION North America expanding operations in the Lowcountry

COLUMBIA, S.C. – KION North America, a member of KION Group AG, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial trucks, will be expanding its Dorchester County operations. To accommodate increased customer demand, KION will be investing $5.7 million in its existing operations, creating more than 50 new jobs over the next five years.

Gestamp North America expanding existing Union County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gestamp, an international manufacturer of metal automotive components, is expanding its existing facility in Union County in an effort to meet increased demand from local automotive original equipment manufacturers. The project is expected to bring $129 million in new capital investment and lead to the creation of 130 jobs.

Alkane Truck Company establishing new Lowcountry operations

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Alkane Truck Company, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of commercial trucks, is establishing new Lowcountry manufacturing operations in Dorchester County. The new facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs in Summerville, S.C.

Automation Engineering Corporation Announces Expansion in Greenville County

Showa Denko Carbon Inc. Announces Expansion in Dorchester County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – February 9, 2011 – The South Carolina Department of Commerce, Dorchester County, the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and the South Carolina State Ports Authority today joined Showa Denko Carbon Inc., a principal supplier of graphite products to the global steel industry, in announcing the company’s plans to significantly expand its Dorchester County operations. The investment is expected to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars and will result in the creation of approximately 100 new jobs.
