COLUMBIA, S.C. – Lift Technologies, Inc. (Lift-Tek), a material handling manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Oconee County. As a subsidiary of Cascade Corporation, the company’s multimillion-dollar investment will create 41 new jobs. 

Founded in 1999, Lift-Tek designs and manufactures masts, carriages, integral sideshifters and fork positioners for the material handling market. The company’s products are used in industrial trucks, automated guided vehicles, telehandlers, forklifts and more.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Palmetto Plastics Innovations (Palmetto Plastics), a plastic extrusion manufacturer, today announced it is establishing operations in Jasper County. The company’s state-of-the-art thermoforming facility will create 28 new jobs.

Palmetto Plastics manufactures fill and drift eliminators for the cooling tower industry. The company’s products are vital plastic components for systems used in power plants, manufacturing facilities, universities and hospitals.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – EnerSys, a global leader in energy storage systems and solutions, today announced it is expanding its operations in Sumter County. The company’s $6.7 million investment will create 14 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Komar Industries (Komar), a manufacturer of balers and compactors, today announced it is establishing its first South Carolina operation in York County. The $11.5 million investment will create 160 new jobs.

Komar specializes in the design and manufacture of balers, stationary compactors and self-contained compactors. The company is also a leading innovator of technology for the recycling and waste management industries.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – SOPAKCO, a world leader in processed foods, today announced it is expanding its operations in Marlboro County. The company is investing $22.8 million to grow its Bennettsville manufacturing operation.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – ALLTAPE Adhesive Manufacturing Inc. (ALLTAPE), a manufacturer of adhesive products, today announced it selects Lexington County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $70 million investment will create 130 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – TS Conductor, a manufacturer of next-generation advanced conductors, today announced it selects Jasper County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation and second U.S. manufacturing facility. The company’s $134 million investment will create 462 new jobs.

Eaton, a global leader in intelligent power management technologies, today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with new operations in Union County. The company’s $340 million investment will create 700 new jobs and establish a new manufacturing facility for three-phase transformers, critical to the nation’s power grid and across industries.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – HII (NYSE: HII), a global defense provider, announced it selects Berkeley County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation through the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of W International SC, LLC and Vivid Empire SC, LLC (collectively, “W International”), a South Carolina-based complex metal fabricator specializing in the manufacture of shipbuilding structures, modules and assemblies.
