Automotive supplier grows South Carolina footprint in Greenville County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Today, the South Carolina Department of Commerce announced Magna International (Magna), a mobility technology company and one of the world’s largest suppliers in the automotive space, is growing its South Carolina footprint. The company will establish a new satellite operation and expand its existing operation in Greenville County. Magna’s combined investment of approximately $200 million will create around 200 new jobs across both facilities starting in 2025.
AFL continues growth of Spartanburg County manufacturing operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – AFL, a manufacturer of fiber optic products and equipment, today announced it is expanding its manufacturing operations across Spartanburg County. The company’s $155 million investment will create over 150 new jobs over the next two to five years.
Milo's Tea Company expanding Spartanburg County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Milo’s Tea Company (Milo’s Tea), a leading beverage company, today announced it is expanding its operations in Spartanburg County. The company’s $53 million investment will create 80 new jobs.
Headquartered in Alabama, Milo’s Tea is a family-owned company that crafts high-quality, freshly brewed tea and closest-to-homemade lemonade. Ground was broken on the Spartanburg County facility in March 2023. Once complete, it will house a brewing, bottling and distribution operation.
Low Tide Brewing expands Charleston County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Low Tide Brewing, a craft beer manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Charleston County. The company’s $22.2 million investment will create 33 new jobs.
Founded on Johns Island in 2016, Low Tide Brewing produces award-winning craft beers from quality ingredients. The company's brewery and taproom also offer a variety of one-of-a-kind experiences for the community.
Nestlé USA expands Cherokee County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nestlé USA, a leading food and beverage company, today announced it is expanding its Cherokee County operations. The company will invest $150 million in its Gaffney production facility.
Nestlé USA operates 112 offices and facilities in 28 states and opened its Gaffney facility in 1980. The company’s portfolio includes well-known brands such as Stouffer’s, Nestlé Toll House, Coffee-mate and more.
Samaritan Biologics expanding Greenville County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Samaritan Biologics, a medical technology company, today announced it is expanding its operations in Greenville County. The company’s $5 million investment will create 85 new jobs.
Founded in 2019, Samaritan Biologics develops, manufactures and distributes human amniotic allograft products for wound care and surgical applications. The company currently operates a research and education facility at the Clemson University Biomedical Engineering Innovation Campus (CUBEInC) in Greenville.
Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Company expands Edgefield County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Company (Portland Bolt), a fastener and bolt manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Edgefield County. The company’s $4.3 million investment will create 21 new jobs.
Founded in Oregon in 1912, Portland Bolt manufactures nonstandard anchor bolts and construction fasteners. The company acquired its North Augusta manufacturing facility from Southern Anchor Bolt in June 2024, allowing it to effectively reach East Coast customers.

Headquartered in Michigan, Koops designs, builds, and integrates innovative special machines and automated equipment. The company offers solutions for manufacturers in various industries including automotive, life sciences and construction.
