AMAROK success story Building a headquarters for innovation and growth
Founded in 1973 as a small, family-owned guard dog service, AMAROK has evolved into a leader in the commercial security industry, offering integrated electric fencing and surveillance solutions. They serve clients in 49 states and employ more than 600 people nationwide. In 2026, AMAROK announced plans to construct a new 125,000-square-foot facility in Columbia to serve as the company’s national headquarters and long-term home.
Significant workforce expansion
AMAROK has already established 300 jobs in the Palmetto State. Their tremendous growth and $69 million investment to build a new corporate office in Richland County will nearly double their number of South Carolina employees. The new headquarters in the BullStreet District downtown will be hiring for finance, accounting, sales, project management and customer service positions and is expected to open in 2028.
Rewarding investment in South Carolina
South Carolina is a prime location for corporate headquarters and is proud to offer incentives to affirm AMAROK’s commitment to the state. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits and awarded a $200,000 Set-Aside grant to assist with the costs of site preparation and building construction. Richland County also locked in a 6% property tax with no change in the millage rate for AMAROK for 30 years.
We couldn’t ask for a better partner than South Carolina, and we look forward to continuing to build on our culture of family, teamwork and shared purpose.
