Prysmian expands Lexington County operations

$80 million investment will create approximately 135 new jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C.Prysmian North America (Prysmian), a leading provider of solutions for energy and digital connections, today announced it is expanding its operations in Lexington County. The company’s $80 million investment will create approximately 135 new jobs.

For over 140 years, Prysmian has established a global footprint as a producer of optical fibers, optical and copper cables, and connectivity systems. With its international headquarters in Milan and its North American headquarters in Highland Heights, Kentucky, the company operates in more than 50 countries, with over 50 locations and 9,000 associates in North America.

Prysmian will expand its existing Lexington County facility, located at 700 Industrial Drive in Lexington, to increase its manufacturing capabilities in the state. Alongside its Lexington site, Prysmian also operates a manufacturing plant in Abbeville County.
