COLUMBIA, S.C. – Keel, a defense manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Charleston County. The company’s $67 million investment will create 170 new jobs at Keel’s Yonges Island shipyard.
Headquartered in Ladson, Keel is an advanced manufacturer of submarine modules and components, aircraft carrier components, and other complex structures for the U.S. Navy and broader defense industry.
Circular Composite Solutions establishing operations in Bamberg County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Circular Composite Solutions (CCS), a sustainable manufacturer of proprietary industrial shipping pallet components, today announced it is establishing operations in Bamberg County. The company’s $53.7 million investment will create 70 new jobs upon completion of all phases.
Pratt Industries expands York County operations with new manufacturing facility
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Pratt Industries, a provider of custom packaging solutions, today announced it is expanding its York County operations with a new manufacturing facility. The company’s $92.5 million investment will create 116 new jobs.
With more than 35 years of experience, Pratt Industries is one of the largest corrugated packaging companies in the U.S. and one of the world’s largest, privately held producers of 100% recycled containerboard.

ZF Chassis Systems Duncan expands Spartanburg County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – ZF Chassis Systems Duncan, a leading supplier of chassis systems, modules and assemblies, today announced it is expanding its operations in Spartanburg County. The company’s $55.4 million investment will create 30 new jobs.
With more than 30 years of chassis assembly experience, ZF Chassis Systems Duncan provides axle system assembly and logistics services to a leading, global car manufacturer.

Peabody Engineering LLC expands Pickens County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Peabody Engineering LLC (Peabody Engineering), a plastics manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Pickens County. The company’s $9.2 million investment will create 20 new jobs.
Founded in California in 1952, Peabody Engineering is a manufacturer and distributor of tanks, telecommunication disguising equipment and other plastic products. The company began operations at its Pickens County facility in 2022.
Charles River Laboratories expands Charleston County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. (Charles River), a leading global drug discovery, development, testing and manufacturing solutions provider, today announced it is expanding its operations in Charleston County. The company is investing $13 million in its microbial solutions facility.

A subsidiary of Kelso Industries, FabLogix provides complex fabrication to clients and industrial plants nationwide. The company serves a variety of industries including life sciences, chemical, power and industrial manufacturing.
