Commerce Communications: Team S.C.’s commitment to existing industry

header

South Carolina’s existing industry is an engine of economic growth. Last year alone, 75 companies expanded operations in South Carolina – creating more than 5,100 new jobs and over $2 billion in capital investment.

Team S.C. recognizes the vital role existing companies play in the state’s overall success. To help accomplish that mission, the S.C. Commerce Existing Industry program provides industry-specific resources to help businesses of all sizes grow and develop. This happens through a multi-faceted approach focusing on increasing sales, employee training, strategy, supply chain consulting and much more.

One example of how companies can take advantage of the Existing Industry program is by connecting with local Existing Industry Managers, who can help direct businesses – large and small – to benefits and resources tailored individually to them.

S.C. Commerce’s Existing Industry program also offers industry roundtables, educational programs, B2B outreach and several other events that are designed to connect manufacturers and explore future programs for companies.

And, S.C. Commerce partners with the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership to assist manufacturers in areas such as continuous improvement, quality, sustainability, training and much more.

Whether it be assisting with the location of new sites and buildings to offering grants for cybersecurity upgrades and infrastructure enhancement, S.C. Commerce has a team that is dedicated to meeting the needs of all companies that call South Carolina home.
