As South Carolina’s high-tech economy continues to flourish, it is critical that we have an educated, job-ready digital workforce. To that end, Team South Carolina is constantly working on new and unique collaborations to help develop the talent within our borders.
A great example of that collaboration was on display yesterday when the S.C. Department of Commerce’s Office of Innovation, partnering with Build Carolina, officially launched our new SC Codes initiative. A statewide program designed to provide free access to coding education for all residents, SC Codes is a first-of-its-kind resource, aimed at connecting South Carolinians to the education and resources they need to unlock careers in technology.
Moving forward, SC Codes will prove to be an invaluable tool to both prepare our citizens and enable our state to continue to be competitive in the global economy.
