Following are various federal, state and national resources that CDCs will find useful.

Association of Community Development Corporations: Statewide trade association of nonprofit, community-based development corporations.

Business Carolina, Inc.: Statewide Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) for South Carolina.

Enterprise Foundation: Rebuilds communities and works with partners to provide low-income people with affordable housing, safer streets and access to jobs and child care. They also help strengthen nonprofit organizations working in community development.

Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta

KnowledgePlex: FannieMae Foundation-powered online resource for affordable housing and community development.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation: Provides grants, loans and equity investments to CDCs for neighborhood redevelopment.

Municipal Association of South Carolina: Represents and serves the states incorporated municipalities.

National Congress for Community Economic Development: The trade association and advocate for the community-based development industry.

Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation: Rural LISC provides partner Community Development Corporations (CDCs) across the country with training, technical assistance and funding to address the problems rural communities face.

South Carolina Association of Counties

South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations: The only statewide network that brings together charitable nonprofit organizations to strengthen the effectiveness of the state’s nonprofit sector.

South Carolina Department of Revenue: Allocates state credits made for investments to state certified development groups.
