International Trade Missions
The South Carolina Department of Commerce trade missions encompass high-level networking events, customized one-on-one appointments and intend to expand global reach and explore countries and/or cities similar to ours for entities such as businesses, educational professionals, economic development professionals and governmental leaders. Our main goals are to inform South Carolina firms about the opportunities that exist in the global market and to assist them in finding new partners overseas through a variety of services:
- Trade missions provide an opportunity for businesses, educational professionals, economic development professionals and governmental leaders to travel to foreign markets and collaborate with their peers and potential customers.
- Video-conferencing capabilities provide an ideal vehicle for follow-up with prospects/individuals following a mission trip.
- Commerce’s Export Services and its statewide partners also conduct a variety of trade-related events, including market briefings and “how-to” seminars throughout the year.
